Need Help: FRP CSL style trunk for E82

Hi guys. I was wondering about CSL style trunk for my E82. I don't really want the carbon fiber one though, I know some of famous brands such as Slek and Seibon are selling the CF one. I plainly just want the matching color but with CSL style.

Any of you know where I can find it? Or what brand carries the FRP CSL style trunk? Let me know guys. Appreciate any comment and opinion. Help your fellow member here.

The reason I don't want CF is plainly it looks to outstand compared to the original paint.

Thank you guys! Let your thoughts fly here

Ebay my friend

BTW I agree with you on the painted vs carbon, although a nice carbon fade on the edge of the tail lip can look sick.

I know but I mean the cost of buying the carbon itself is already pricey. I'm not sure if I want to repaint the CF. lol

I plan on getting a CSL styled trunk later on, and leaving it unpainted. I figure it doesn't look so bad, plus when I wrap the car shortly after that it'll all be one color anyways.

Where can you buy the unpainted one? Most of the sellers are out of country and I don't want to deal with the customs. I'm just too lazy to pay one time customs fee

There is no CSL FRP trunk on the market that will fit correctly and that people have tested. Only two CSL trunks exist that have great fitment. SLeK or iCarbon but they are both carbon fiber. Siebon is spotty and you may need to return it a few times to get a good one. iCarbon is out of business and you can only find a used one. So that only really leaves SLeK if you want great fitment.

Thanks bud. I will take that as a consideration knowing that even the CFs are limited. I know it might not to stand out since my car is Jet Black but again, only time will let me decide

FRP:
http://www.schmiedmann.com/en/bmw-E8...roduct=BA82EVO
$430.71 + $107.68 (VAT) + $50.62 (S&H) = $589.01

CF:
http://www.schmiedmann.com/en/bmw-E8...uct=BA82EVOCAR
$646.15 + $161.54 (VAT) + $45.58 (S&H) = $853.27

For me, it seems like the Slek is a safer bet at this point. It's just going to cost me more than a FRP from Germany with an unknown fitment.

sorry for being total noob here, but is there a difference in name between the Slek trunk with the sharp lip and the trunk with the thick lip that is often times painted with the exposed cf?

The one with the thick lip is the iCarbon one, I believe.

Is that one considered the CSL Trunk or is that the sharp lipped one?

They're both considered "CSL" styles, just minor differences between the two.
