if i was keeping the car, i would, but im about to start parting it out probably tomorrow and getting it back to stock to sell or trade in....

IMO.....
numbers are only numbers and nothing more.... and while dynos can give you a good estimate of performance, they are far from being tools used calculate performance.... they seem kind of hoaky if you ask me.... if they really were accurate measuring tools,.... then why do differend dynos show so much variation?..... its not like a calibrated torque wrench that unless used inappropriately used it will give you the same result every time.....
and dynos are dont show real world performance.... real world results on the pavement do....
but thats jsut my opinion

sorry for jacking the thread..... im done......lets get back to the OP's origional question....

so have you decided on which one you like better?

Agreed on that, but same goes for racing a bunch of cars on the street it's not accurate either. Numbers don't lie usually.

Anyways like you said back on topic

Can anyone confirm that PPK can bring back all the pops and gurgles?

Thanks.

The pops and gurgles are not related to software...

The moment i updated the latest S/W, it is very clear that the exhaust is quieter and I lost all the pops and gurgles.

The exhaust gets worn in over time. Trust me, not related to software. What exhaust setup do you have?

The software does affect the pops and gurgles. It affects mixture and timing. Response is slower, more lag from a stop with the last update. IMO PPK1 makes it better, but still more lag than before the update.

Hey Eaglemike, did you try the PPK1? Did it bring back all the pops and gurgles?

Yeah, you should definitely still be hearing pops, gurgles, cracks, etc. with the new software update, your exhaust, and JB4 stage 2 installed. You may have another issue going on.

Brought back some. It's a nice runner - but not as good as before the software update, even with the PPK1. I got the software update and PPK1 on the same visit to the dealer. The throttle lag from a stop is annoying. JB4 is on my mind......

I just installed the JB4 on my 2012 135i N55 and it runs great. I just want to know how to adjust the maps on it? I saw that you can use the buttons on the steering wheel to adjust the settings but, I didn't get any instructions on how to do it. Sorry for changing the subject. All I know it did make a difference after installing the JB4 Stage 2. Thats all I have done to the car so far.

Agreed. It's been pretty well documented around here. It's why I haven't done it , don't plan to, and am glad the former owner of the car didn't either and warned me about it.

Thanks M135. I also have been talking with Terry. Terry really gets back with you on issues or anything you need to know. Great guy! The Car really runs great now i have to just get that speed limiter off. It gets to 176 MPH so fast by GPS but then stumbles. My wife has a new 2012 335 Sedan w/ Sport pkg and it is suppose to have the limiter at 155 MPH but it keeps going after 160 and its scary due to the soft feeling suspension? I spoke with a guy at BMW and he said he has heard the same thing so consider myself lucky. What do I need to do with my car to fix this? The 135. Sorry for changing the subject.
