That's not seriously an instructor right? The lines are not so hot...

Closest to the curb is not always the fastest way around a track. Depends on the upcoming corner(s). So the "lines" might not be hot, the driving in fact makes much more sense than throwing a car "just around the corner".

I'd say he does it pretty good.
