The Diff has about 1800 street miles on it and is FINALLY broken in. Lets talk gearing first. The 3.45 was an absolute killer upgrade! Acceleration in 2nd to 5th gear is LOL better. It definitely gave me the edge I was looking for without a turbo upgrade. I've lost about 3-500 rpm in 6th for highway cruising, putting me at about 2900 RPMS at 80mph. Fuel economy has suffered greatly...lol.
Now transitioning. Compared to the stock diff, this is light-years ahead in its reaction. Its instant. Making quick L to R or vise versa extremely controlled and satisfying.
On to Traction. Straight line. In the wet, and on cold tires in the dry, I still will get some wheelspin in 2nd gear. Obviously more in the wet. Dry is more like a momentary thing while the diff struggles asking the tires for grip before they warm up.
In turns, the diff initally induced much more throttle oversteer in my chassis set-up (pre break in). This is probably due to pre load, how much pre load it has, I don't know. I was told it would lose alot during the break in process, and that seems to have been true. It has taken a while playing with my shock settings to get to the point of neutrality. Off throttle is now producing very slight understeer with my shocks one click harder up front. Power oversteer can be achieved and modulated very easily by "egg shelling" the throttle, steering the front where I want it. (Traction off M mode on) Squeezing the throttle progressively out of turns will keep you on track and out of the trees.
The one thing I haven't tested yet is hard braking and seeing how the tail reacts and if I get any wiggle.
So all that being said would I do anything differently? Probably not. 50/50 ramp angles were discussed breifly but dismissed. Can't make this thing too easy to drive or I might ruin its reputation! ;-) hope this helps you guys thinking about this upgrade.
*EDIT*
High speed braking is also A+. Panic stops from 100mph to 0 are extremely stable! No rear shimmy what so ever..

A broken power steering pulley, shredded belt, and a Eaten through front main seal has given me the perfect excuse to install a VAC Motorsports oil pan baffle. Oil pan baffle, new belt, new aluminum pulley (To replace the cheap plastic one), new belt tensioner and new rollers all going in today. It looks like I'm one of the lucky ones and caught it early enough to where there was really no debris to speak of inside the motor from the belt eating the seal.

Final Update on the Diff. This took some time to lose the pre load. A 2nd oil change and it is finally not be too touchy. My shock settings are now an even amount of clicks front and rear, this thing is now super controllable with the throttle. Literally sometimes half steering into a corner unpurpose to use the throttle to do the rest of the steering. It's so fun... This winter will see a Big Brake kit front and rear, a rear diffuser, and hopefully some BMW performance seats if I can find some, possibly a carbon hood, roof and mirror caps.

Awesome to hear. Wonder how it affect the chassis without standard springs and shocks?
Carbon panels esp the roof would be the icing, quite literally.

Does this mean the rest of us should be doing preventive maintenance on this area? How many miles did you have when the pulley died?

Yes. Although we have the updated subframes with extra clearance if your engine mounts are broken/sloppy (and they don't last long) then the pulley can hit, become damaged then it will start shredding the belt.

I would if I were you guys. I have stiffer engine mounts, solid trans and solid diff mounts. I doubt anything hit Anywhere to begin with. It's just poor quality OEM. I had about 48k when it happend.

Can you comment on the AD-E full 3" charge pipe fitment? When I was at AD-E, they looked in my engine bay and didn't think their CP would fit. I am pretty sure then thought it would contact the PS reservoir lines. Did you modify anything to get it to fit?

They are going to reweld the bungs on my ER pipe so the front DV will stop touching the strut tower, but if you are sure their 3" pipe fits as-is, I may just have them try install theirs instead.

Funny, I have the same rubbing problem with ER pipe/Forge DV front valve; my engine guy (Ben at 7th Gear in Schaumburg, IL) suggested we just try to replace the silicone connector pipe with a 45 degree bend instead of straight--anyone tried this?

I was in the process of sourcing one (not as easy to find as I thought it should be) but ended up reversing the asymmetric ER angled coupler which solved the issue.

Im going to be freshening up my power steering system soon due to some leaks. May I ask where you purchased the aluminum pulley from? I may want to do this at the same time. Thx!

Lately I've been thinking about selling. How is the market for such a car?

Make a few YouTube videos of its current state, maybe show a dragy run and some lap time shots. Then post it on BaT with starting price of $50k, will bring $70k I reckon.

I've decided to list it on P car market. BAT has a 3 month waiting list. I shall post a link when she goes up to anyone who is interested.
