Hey Joe, you can always try my brother-in-law @ Mobile Wheel Tech on 0434940069. Mine are painted with a 2pac and it's been almost a year since he painted them and no problems at all. Tyres stay on the rims.
I've inquired about powder coating and you must get the tyre off the rim then have the rim sandblasted then powder coated. Last edited by JB4-335; 12-29-2011 at 05:24 PM.. |

I have BMW 313s on the current 1er but am picking up another 1er in the next couple of weeks. I was planning of switching the 313s over but I would prefer to get the 261s painted gloss black - imo looks much better being all black than black with metallic wheels.

This thread's what I'm looking for- I'm thinking gloss black too...or gloss gunmetal. the matte finish on my wheels for some reason clings on to brake dust like a mofo, even when it's been cleaned
I like the look of yours Edwin- might give your bro in-law a call. As long as the cost doesn't excee the price of new wheels, I think I'll be doing this soon in the new year. |

Gave Nigel a call at Quality Auto Refinishing http://sydney.gumtree.com.au/c-Busin...AdIdZ257915834 and he quoted me $90 per rim in 2 pac enamel, as long as the rims don't need repairing.
He comes highly qualified, as he worked for Simmons Wheels for 8 years, painting/powder coating wheels. |

I have used these guys several times to fix the rims on my son's Impreza (he can't afford a 1M yet)- they are excellent. Very professional, very reasonable price and very helpful.

Now its just finding the time to rip of the wheels and rims and getting them over to him. Nice one Ian (literally).. Thats definately the only way to go with VO, IMO.. The wheels look like a perfect match to the rear diffuser colour.. exactly what I want also.. |

I like the grey, bonus is that you will never need to wash your wheels again!
Me, I'm clearly a white over black sorta guy soooo...... Spoilt however by the Wayne specced wheels on our polo gee tee eye (no laughing at the brakes please) |
