Just cant wait !
Hellllooooooo everyone ... (First 1Addicts post :smile
I’m soon to be a proud owner of a AW 135i. I placed my order mid December last year with an expected production date sometime in March. According to the dealer, I should expect to drive away in June. I know the 135's are on allocation but is this the expected waiting time? I absolutely love the car and have been following the 1Addicts forum for awhile. I’m stepping up from a MKV Golf GTI and just cant wait for the twin-turbo beast !! |

Greets from Canada!
I have been driving my AW 135i since May and I still love her. Even in winter! EspressoBoy PS I waited about 2 months total. Best to talk to ppl in your area as I know Australia is like no other place when it comes to BMW. |

Welcome. Good to have another West Oz based 1addict member. Six month wait over here? Sounds about right...maybe a touch on the long side but given A/C are the only BMW dealers...yeah, probably right.

Yeah I ended up waiting about that long too. I should pick my car up within 2 weeks though. Trust me, the wait will drive you insane!
Luckily you can jump on here and share your passion for the 135i with the fellow 1addicts. There is more info on this site about the 1 series than anywhere else on the net. |

I ordered mine in white with black interior and brushed aluminium finishing. Got a sunroof too and opted for the paddle shift auto rather than the manual, even though I have always sworn by a manual box. I quite liked the auto and thought the shift times were quite quick.

My dealer told me the BMW factory still has not opened from the holidays yet -- expected to reopen end of January... which i guess it quite soon now!

My dealer told me that BMW Australia had production allocation pulled from January ... nothing about the plant being closed!

That's a little concerning... I'm going to chase my dealer today and hopefully get a straight answer. The last I heard was that some BMWs ordered (jan build) has had their production pushed back till Feb... I spoke to my dealer a week ago and he said that mine was still set for Jan production so I'm going to hold onto that thread of hope.

sorry ... should have said that they had *some* production slots pulled (not all of them). Looks like you might have been a lucky one fatboy and still got Jan. Mine got pushed to Feb

Sorry to hear CT135 - Apparently if you kick up a little fuss you might be able to get some kind of compensation from the dealer. 'so i heard'

December order for a Jan build, thats great ! Why would I have been delayed for 3 months ? (December order, March build) Does it vary from state to state ? |

I ordered on 27th Dec and I already have a production number and Feb build.
It may be the power of the bigger state and bigger purchase power. I think my dealer is owned by BMW Australia?
