Heated rear screen?

Odd question time......when using the heated rear screen to clear condensation/mist, does your whole screen clear? I\'ve noticed that the top 3\"-4\" which includes 3 heating elements doesn\'t clear at all no matter how long I keep it switched on for?

Does anyone find the same or do I have a problem?

common complaint to thoses not in the know..

the top couple of lines are your antenna for the radio.. and also the other common misnomer is that the shark fin is your antenna... that is only for sat/nav not am/fm radio..

regards,

I have a top gear tip for you guys!

BMW sells a really nice window cleaner that has some anti-fog fluid built into the solution. Spray on and wipe off, and the rear screen as well as the side windows do not fog up as much.

Cheap too $5.95 per bottle 500ml

If the top couple of lines are the antenna, what are the 2 vertical ones for?

It is also mentioned in the manual: top lines as antenna for the radio. So indeed perfectly normal that condensation stays around top lines despite activation of heated rear screen.
