Rims hitting Struts

I got my VMR V701's in Tuesday and noticed that the passenger front rims hits the strut. It just barely touches but it rubs and makes a horrible noise. The fitment is 18x8.5" ET45 and fits fine on the drivers front.

Has anyone had this issue and how can I go about getting it resolved? I swapped the front two rims and it still rubbed on just that side. I have it at Firestone right now having it looked over but they are unsure it can be fixed.

I'd try a pair of 3-5 mm spacers to gain clearance.

Karl.

I'm thinking thats the route I will have to go. Can a 3mm spacer be ran with the OEM lugs?

Also this is a non-M model. Sorry, I posted this before realizing I was in the 1M section.

You want a minimum of 6 complete turns of the lug bolt to ensure you have enough thread. Any less than that and you're at risk. Just get longer bolts if needed. And I would start with just a 3mm. Your hub has a flange that the wheel sits on. You don't want to shorten that much more than 3mm.

Under hard cornering you may experience some rubbing as the wheel deflects. If so, bigger spacer. Get lugs long enough to accommodate a 5-8mm spacer. That will give you margin and options.
