Ordeing a BMW

Hey guys. I'm in the market for my first BMW and I think the 135i will be it. I keep reading about people placing orders for the cars. Is this something you have to do? Do BMW dealers not stock these cars? Thanks guys

Not required, but with this model can be necessary to get exactly what you want, especially with limited supply. Have seen a few posts of available cars on lots, but they may not be what you want, and in some cases are heavily loaded with options- some of which you may not need. Of course with ordering you have to be able to wait through the build and delivery period. I found it a great experience- planning, then tracking "your" car.
