DIY Chep 8.8" nbt screen hosuing

excuse, if the grame ist 100% or the spelling, but hope u will understand, if u have any thought, let me know, and i will see i can assist u

I have a BMW E82 CCC, and going to install NBT, all the part is pretty esay to find, around the world, execpt one the CIC housing, part number:65829211975



but i found this on ebay, THIS is str8shot photo, hope its okej, if not let me know


this housing is made for a 7" tablet, like str8shot have done.

So i was think if it was possible to fit a NBT 8.8" screen, and i did, after some google time, and lot a pm, i starting my operation.

1. i started by cutting away this part






as u can se, it will fit, but i will be a gap, so i order 1mm thick platic sheet from ebay, and cut tiny strips of it, and clue the on the top and bottom,
but i diet do a good job, so i was needing to putty to fill up the small gaps, i saw them after i have wrapt the silver thing. so if u do a good jobb u don't need to putty them.

Before i putty the gaps,






it may be hard to see, but the that has the screen, dont have the platc bit glude on the top of botten.

so after i have glude the plastic and putty the gaps, it looks like this:


is no gaps, its the sun light going trow the platic,
i will go to the shop, next week to find a good match colour,
and to attache the screnn/frame in the houing im just going to glue it, using small dops.


so now u can install NBT screen easier, if u don't have the CIC from factory

The shop dident have any good matching coluor, so i will using the matt black one.

Wonder if you could just pull a CIC 8.8" screen and swap in the NBT screen since they're the same size...
