130i Ignition Coil - Help With Part No.
Can anyone help with advice on correct ignition coils for a 12/2006 pre facelift 130i please?
I purchased Bosch coils - part no. 0221504470 which matched BMW part no. 12137594937. My mechanic fitted them but said car only ran on 3 cylinders!!! Put old coils back in and all was good. The coils in the car are original and have a different part no. but real oem has it as superseded by the Bosch coils I purchased. Anyone replaced coils on a pre facelift 130i and can advise part no. That would be appreciated! |

if you put old coils in and the cylinders ran fine, why are you swapping them?
ED: 12137571643 or 12137551049 but 12137594937 would be the only part bosch would make these days. sounds like dodgy coils were purchased? if they fit, they're the right part, pretty much. |

When I accelerate under load, occasionally I get a noticeable hesitation. I thought this could be down to a faulty coil so decided to replace them. I'll try the new ones again to double check, every list/catalogue I've read suggests the coils I've bought are the correct part that superseded the original coils.
