CEL please help!
Okay so I have been having these problems non stop since taking my car in to a trusted indy shop for a CLUTCH install....As you can see why I am f***** pissed that this crap keeps happening from something that had nothing to do with the engine....
So first I had a boost leak that i could not for the life of me find and turned out being the shop put the DP's on wrong (don't ask why they had to even remove them for a CLUTCH ) and was not allowing the waste gate to close. Took it back like 3 times before that was resolved. Zero issues for 500 miles after so I didn't complain BUT now i'm getting these codes all of a sudden... P1074 - Fuel system too lean (bank 2) P0171 - Fuel system lean (bank 1) P29E1 - Mixture control 2 P29E0 - Mixture control The O2 sensors are on correct on the DP's, I can't find any leaks on the IC piping, the CP and intakes are on correctly. I have checked all the vacuum lines and nothing. I have no idea what the crap is going on now. Had ZERO issues before the freaking clutch install and NOTHING has changed besides the clutch for at least 2-3k miles. 2009 135i w/ 51k miles. FBO with PTF e50 protune (stage 2 Fuel It pump). Injectors and plugs changed at 42k. Walnut blast done around 45k. coils changed at 50k. Please help before i just sell the damn thing

So random though popped into my head about the lean codes, maybe bad batch of E85? Too much can cause the car to run lean correct? My tune is E50 but if for some reason it's higher, it could be the case?
Might just be over thinking it but seriously just trying to convince myself it's something simple so i don't go insane haha. Will post logs later on which will help more. |

Have you tried taking a log and shooting it over to PTF? It sounds like possibly a bad o2 sensor, boost leak, or the map is just leaning out. I would send a log over to PTF and see what they say.

Issue was resolved! Turns out the station I fill up E85 at filled their tanks with E95! I just tested it last week and was E68, so leaned out the car big time. Everyone in town has been having issues.
