Why odd? What you say is an assumption which may be correct in many cases; what I was trying to say is my car's suspension and all the chassis components are actually working much better and more capable after changing to these tires. It is a more precise, smoother and capable car now, it might be even (very slightly) faster. In my opinion, these tires seem to be developed with almost 1M in mind but could not make the production line on time (by the way, all M cars and M performance line cars released after 1M launch date has been leaving the factory with PSS mounted).

I did not say and am not suggesting that they are a "substitute" for track duty/race suspension upgrade. Anybody else though, who feels like 1M is a bit too stiff or unsettled on less than perfect surfaces and lacks the perfect degree of traction (especially on wet) with really excessive DSC intervention should first try the car with these tires before attempting to cure these problems by an expensive full suspension upgrade. They are not totally car's fault cause they seem to be minimized with a simple tire change! Again, I am talking about road use here. In fact, my bet is a perfect road going 1M would better have 18 inch wheels with corresponding stock size PSS tires (like the base E9X M3s). That would do everything better, other than the looks.

Here are a few pics. Some are intentionally overexposed to show tires better.

Ah, we were talking about separate things. I would agree completely they they are an upgrade from PS2s, or almost any other stock tire.

Looks great, still looking stretched on the wheel, but less so. Thanks for the pics. The rubbing seems minor.

Driving impressions?

car looks great mate, good choice on the tire size. still a tiny stretch, but will still retain that firm steering feel and provide you with tons of grip

btw, are you coming to the m club track day next month at MSR? i will be there in my car...
