Coming Back to BMW!
Hello all,
This is my first post to the forum. I just placed an order yesterday for a new 330i. I previously had an 02 330 that I traded in for an Acura TL. It was an impulse purchase and I've been missing the bimmer since. I was just in a bad accident that totaled my car so now I'm coming back! My car is already in production and is scheduled to be completed on the 20th. This is what I ordered: 06 330i Mystic Blue/Gray Leather Step Premium Sport Cold Weather Navigation Sirius Comfort Access Now it's time to wait. |

Thanks for the positive responses! I'm really excited about the color. My 02 was in Topaz Blue, which I loved. I kind of wish they still had that color but the Mystic is nice too.
I'm leasing the car for 3 years with 12,000 miles/yr. I probably could have gotten a better selling price at another dealer but the one I went through isn't marking up the money factor on the lease, so I thought that was pretty cool. They are also throwing in the floor mats. The payments are less than I expected and I'm not putting any money down, just the typical up front costs and the security deposit for being a first time BMW FS lease customer. It comes to $599/month with tax included. My car payments on the TL were more than that. The MSRP is $46,940. I was looking into possibly getting another Acura but their lease rates were so much higher that it wouldn't have been any less to get a car that was cheaper to begin with. Even financing would have cost more, and I wanted to save some money up front for other things. My financing has been approved and I'm locked into the lease rate so I'm good to go. The dealer has been awesome to work with, I never even had to step foot in the showroom. I've done everything through email. They didn't even need a deposit for the order! |

06 330i <--- The best choice you made.
Mystic Blue/Gray Leather <--- Very nice color coordination. Step <--- Auto is not my style. Premium <--- I could of used this, but I really don't need it. Sport <--- I have this and its making driving excellent! Cold Weather <--- I wish I got this, then my rear seats would of folded down. Navigation <--- I'll navigate with maps, the old school way. Sirius <--- Seriously don't need it. Comfort Access <--- Envious of you.

After all the thoughts about M Z4, new m3, 335, I looked at the new G35 concept and I fell in love with it. I was thinking about going back to japanese auto, save $$$$$ and call it a day. I am afraid I'll miss the german engineering though.

Welcome aboard, and congratulations on your choice. I hope the accident you were in was bad only for your car. I hope no one was injured badly.

When I got the BMW in 02 I was looking for a sedan but really wanted stick. Acura didn't have anything out then so I figured I'll try a BMW. I liked it but regretted not getting heated seats as I was living in Seattle then. Also I kind of missed driving an Acura. When the TL came out I took a 6 speed for a test drive and really liked it. I also really do like Honda/Acura manual transmissions. I always had trouble driving the manual in the BMW and I had been driving stick for 12 years by then. Some of my friends would kid me and ask if I just learned how to drive stick. Also within the first 6 months I had the car the clutch and the gas pedal needed to be replaced. The dealer gave me a good deal on my trade and I got the TL. I loved the car, but wished I had kept the BMW longer. I enjoyed the extra amenities in the Acura, and the extra space, but missed driving the BMW. The torque steer on a front drive car with manual transmission and that much horse power can be a pain. So since I was in the accident I thought I would take advantage and go back to BMW. I love the look of the E90 and it felt was just just big enough. The TL always felt a little too big to me. And really nothing beats German engineering. |

Don't we all love a wreck, eh? After I was rear ended in my 325i last March, I traded it in on a Subaru Legacy GT Ltd....it was gone around 12,000kms and three months later. In fact I had ordered my 325xi 2 months after the delivery of the LGT.....Got rid of the LGT in September, drove my '98 Jimmy 7 weeks, and got the 325xi end of October.... Very expensive lesson but I am VERY Happy now! Welcome Bill!
