Any Shipments In January

Hi Guys!

Hope you all had a safe beginning to the New Year. I was wondering if anyone could help me with some information. I ordered a 125i Coupe in October. I was told by my salesperson I should get the car by the first week of February 2009. If thats the case should the car be on a ship at the moment? How long does the trip from Germany take?
I tried calling but my sales person is on annual leave and is not back till mid Jan 09. I need to know because I need to sell my existing car. The receptionist keeps on telling me that I will get a call when the car arrives and when it arrives delivery takes another 4 weeks. Shouldnt that mean my car is in Australia at the moment? I am a little confused. Also I noticed my contract does not mention a delivery date.
How long does it normally take? How do I know my car has been built. So many questions!!

Congrats on the order noshe83. My car took just over 3 weeks from the time it was on the ship to the time I picked it up and I took delivery as soon as it passed through customs. You can check to see where your car is using http://schedule.2wglobal.com/AppSche...oyageSearch.do this website but you must get your vin. Just ring up your dealer and they will be able to give you your vin from the stock controller. hope it helps

Maybe yours is on that ship as well?

wmj, are you saying it took 3 weeks from unloading in Brisbane to when you picked it up??

Sorry I wasnt clear with my response, took approx. a month on the ship and then 2.5 weeks from unloading to the time I picked up.

hey noshe mine took 9 days to clear customs after it arrived on the 9/12, it all depends on every individual dealer i guess..

Thanks for your responses. I got hold of the stock controller today and she said my car was due to arrive in Port Kembla on the 23rd Jan 09. I looked it up and its on the vessel called "Tomar". Anyone else got their car on that ship?

By the sounds of it I should have the car by mid February 09. Man...Its close and I cant wait!!!!

Another 125, congrats kevi21. Who did you buy from? I got mine from Bris BMW and it took 5 months. What options did you get?

The "Tomar" is another Wilhelmsen roro ship and carries 6542 cars in total. That's a lot of 125i's :-)

I ordered mine from Westside BMW.

I ordered a TiAG 125i with sunroof, M-sport pack, 18"s, xenon and elec. lumber support and CF spoiler. Currently waiting on some more CF mods from Dan and thinking about doing a DIY sound system upgrade.

The "Tomar" is my new Hero. Called my dealer today. Mentioned that as the "Tomar" is due to arrive at Port Kembla on the 23rd Of Jan if I was happy to pick my car up on the 10th of Feb 09! I cannot wait!
Taking my care over to the dealer to get it valued. Was thinking about selling it privately but I will see what I can get at the Dealer. Its nothing flash. Just a 2005 New Model Ford Focus LX Sedan. Anyone know what it might get for a Trade In? I saw on Redbook the estimated Value Ranged between $11000 to $15500. I have had it serviced always on time at the Ford Dealership and have done about 78000KM. Rego is until August 09.
What do you guys think it may fetch for a Trade In?

noshe83, can't help with a valuation, but it is worth driving around to a few dealers and getting their valuer to check it out. I gained several $$$ doing that, way over the price offered for my Falcon by the BMW dealer (don't blame 'em, they'd have to on sell it, whereas a Ford dealer wouldn't).
