This trip was so much fun! To be there with great bunch of car guys having fun ripping thru the Alps... what memories!! We got to do this sort of thing again. I am looking forward to our 'Ring trip next month in August for Justin's B-day. See you guys soon.

it's amazing how awkward-looking the standard 1-series is, and yet how great the 1M looks...

During our trip we saw a guy in a black F30 with ED plates. The secret is out about Stelvio! I think we have Top Gear to thank for that!! Actually this whole area where Italy, Austria and Switzerland (Dreiecke lands) meet - is just perfect for driving around in. Very charming villages and such a beautiful place to drive/explore. Did I mention some GREAT roads!!!

Honestly I think this road/pass is overrated and if you are doing ED or traveling around Europe, it's really not worth your time...traffic jams everywhere, no one spoke English, fighting with bicyclists and motorcyclists, rooms difficult to find...I would definitely think about driving the German Black forest instead or Franconia Schwiez

That way Stelvio 2.0 won't be as busy and we'll have more fun

+1. I'm with Andreas... I'm definitively going back to that area this year again!

Junky, last year in July, I got "filmed" tail gating on the A9 in Ingolstadt. I did not get the "ticket" until September. And then the "bill" in December. First they want to know WHO was driving... then after you admit guilt... they send you the bill. I have even heard it takes a lot longer for "us" (Ami's) to get German tickets. I can only wonder what happens when its outside of Germany. lol
