Alexander

Anybody have HBO? Im watching Alexander for the 1st time, and seriously, this movie is a joke. Troy was bad enough, but this takes the cake. CF is putting on an amazing performance. not really.

I however can't watch it anymore, but not because I didn't like it; it's because I sort of connect it with a certain time and place in my life with a certain girl, and well, things kind of went downhill with her and....ahhh...I just can't watch it anymore

That's one thing I still have to learn: never connect a girl with a song or a movie...once you do, that's it. The song or the movie is ruined!

I'll actually eat my words a little Fenianz. The movie is getting better. I guess I shouldnt hate on it till I give it a chance.

I know what you mean about the association. I used to watch Sex in the City w/ my ex girlfriend. Cant watch that show anymore in syndication. Its a chick show anyway, but always cracked me up. One thing I did like about Troy was the fight scene between Achiles and (whats his name). Brad puts on a good show when he fights. ie.. fight club, snatch.

Troy was okay, Alexander was borrringgggg.

I remember seeing it last year with this guy I was dating and I was like, "Wow Alex, this movie SUCKS like no other."

Angelina was in it but that still didn't make the movie suck any less.

I didn't like the movie either, but the OST was just... WAW! I always liked Vangelis, but this album is truly good IMO.

That was just my $0.02

i watched about 20 minutes of Alexander on HBO last night and really want to see the whole thing just to find out why is everyone talking so much crap about it. troy was ok, but seeing it once was good enough until they come out with another remake of it.

Gladiator had the best plot of all these movies. Both Troy and Alexander are bland, at best. Cinematography was not impressive. The score failed to move me. The directing of both movies could have been better. The special effects of both movies are somewhat laudable.

Troy's script was cornier than Alexander's, although both are pretty corny. In the end, Mr. Farrel was a better actor than Brad Pitt in Troy, behind Hector. Hector was the best.

Yes, but you do realize that the script was an adaptation from Homer's Iliad...right?

Ha ha...just kidding. I agree. Actually, if I remember my history correctly, the gods played a much bigger role in the story than they did in the movie

That's why most people like the Gladiator the best...it was original and the only thing that had to be historically accurate was the geography, architecture, etc....not the story line.

Can't say I blame you on any of those!

The thing I don't get is Hollywood still can't understand why no one is going out to see new movies anymore

Wow, you had to walk out of 3-4 movies in the theater? Then either you or your friend(s) have some really blind/bad tastes. Or you need to stop movie-hopping.

Yea... most movies require the big screen to get the most out of them. Big speakers and Big screen and anoying Big kids makes it exciting.
