Armor All Wheel Protectant on aftermarket wheels

So I have been using this product on my stock wheels and it is amazing at keeping brake dust and road tar etc off the wheels. I am surprised that an Armor All product works so well.

Anyway, I am upgrading to a set of BBS LM reps next week. Do you guys think it is safe to use the product on the LMs? The stockers were the painted grays while the new wheels are polished outers with hyperblack centers. I don't want to haze the wheels etc.

Thoughts? Has anyone used the product on their aftermarket wheels?

I have not but used it on my 261m wheels with amazing results. As a side note, I then tried the meguiars version at the parts guys suggestion. NEVER ever use this product. My wheels look like they were caked with hairspray. The only way to get it off is a thorough rubdown with a solvent like IPA or acetone. Haven't got around to it yet. Sucks.

Should work...haven't heard anything negative about the product...yet.

On another note, I've been using Poorboys Wheel Sealant with some fairly promising results. Comes in a 8oz can, basically like a gel you throw on, let it haze over and remove

Concur. I used it on my wife's car as a trial run, it was terrible. I never did get it all off. I usually like Meguiar's products but this stuff is terrible.

Poorboys is safe and to me, smells okay. Tough to apply on my 263 wheels though. Tiring to say the least. haha. 2 to 4 coats will work wonders. Stays on a lot longer than i expected.

I used the Armor All product on my VMR VB3s, so pretty similar mesh wheel with hard to reach areas, but it kept the brake dust off significantly better after using the product, just make sure the wheel is completely dry before applying.

I have never had a good experience with this product. I have always tried on aftermarket wheels, but for some reason was very unsatisfied, I just gave away my last 2 cans because I can't stand the stuff.

I've been using the armor all wheel protectant for a few months now and I really like it. I have 18" Apex Aero 7's that I plastidipped bronze and it works amazing on them. Doesn't mess with the plastidip and I don't have to scrub the wheels that much anymore unless they are really dirty. All I have to do really is just use the pressure washer and all the brake dust just comes flying off.
