Oyster (Lemon) vs. Terracotta on LMB
Just placed an order for Oyster on Le Mans Blue yesterday but I'm feeling iffy about my decision. I think Oyster looks really gorgeous but I'm concerned about being able to keep it clean for years to come, and also whether I'll get tired of it after a while because it's such a "striking" color. In the mean time. Terracotta is a classy looking color that's very tasteful looking and will certainly be easier to maintain. I still have some time to change my mind and change the order. What do you guys think?

I have Terracotta w/SGM and love it. As you said, very easy to maintain and classy. Everyone who sees it seems to like it a lot. Go for it!!

IMHO, I'd go with the terracotta for both cleanliness concerns and appearance. If I decided to order a new 1 or 3 tomorrow, it would be LMB or white with that color. A guy a know with a 135 vert has lemon in his and you can already see wear marks after the first year. To me it's just not a great choice for a daily driver.

Interesting question! I have a BSM 1er with Terracotta (and M-Sport package, so I have the black headliner). I really like it, and have gotten numerous compliments on the combination.
I have daydreamed ahead to my next car, and I will say that LeMans Blue is romancing me. I think that it looks better with the Oyster interior than Terracotta, at least on the configerator. However, I am the only person in the car 95% of the time, and my back seat has only been sat on three times. I don't have to do much to keep it looking good. Sorry to stir the pot! However, I'll be interested to see how this thread goes. IMO, there is no "bad" choice here. Either one would work. |

I have SGM with Savannah Beige, cause I like a light interior. The Terracotta just seemed a bit too dark for me. I have yet to see Lemon in person anywhere - might have chosen it if I could have seen it before ordering. It's certainly a unique choice!

Go with the Lemon! Keeping it clean is not bad as long as you keep up with it. Clean it weekly when you wash the car and you will be fine.

I have space gray with gray Boston leather...I like the slightly darker shade better than the lighter oyster option.

Oyster isn't Lemon, it's Oyster
Lemon was dropped for MY2012 models and replaced by Oyster. Anyway..... I'd go with Terra

Voted terracotta... my wife recently got a 328i ZMP, Le mans blue on saddle brown, and man it is gorgeous.

Both look very good. I will admit im a bit more attracted to the lemon color. It has a really nice contrast with the black interior parts as well as the blue.
You can't really go wrong with either choice. |

Oyster looks sharp. I've gone black on black every time, but that oyster is making me rethink my next purchase.
