New Panamera revealed?
http://news.bitauto.com/abroad/20150921/1006555778.html I can't read Chinese but it looks like the real deal. I have to say the current gen looks better. EDIT: my bad. Translated the page and apparently it's just a render. Last edited by Jai 302; 09-21-2015 at 07:49 PM.. |

Humm, below the render are two completely uncovered photos of the new gen Panamera being tested... and it looks exactly the same as the render... so I would say this is pretty accurate.
Doesn't look that different from current gen... |

I want to like this car, but I can't help but think it looks like turtle with a long head.

You guys really think it's that bad?
I personally really like the Panamera. A colleague has a Turbo S Panamera and it is THE executive sports sedan IMO. The looks are polarizing though. |

I have always hated the Panamera. Have since day 1. Every time I see one from the side I think, oh look, a dog taking a shit. They took a 911, cut it in half, and welded in a cube. Echt. And I have to look at one every time I leave my parking garage at home just to reaffirm it's ugliness.
It may be fast, but so is a dog turd coming out of orbit. |

That render or picture is looking very Audi-like. The current Panamera has always reminded me of a 911 mating with a Vette. The front end looks a lot like a Vette. That said the Panamera is the top of the Performance sedan class. It would be hard choosing a M5 over the current Panamera.

But, it's not only the speed in the Panamera Turbo S I was referencing. It's the whole package: It just feels so good to drive. It was a very thoughtful execution by Porsche IMO. It has this uncanny ability to shrink down when you push it, but then can be an estately cruiser when you want to relax and put on Coltrane and hear the timbre fluctuations through your Burmester audio system. |

The Porsche Panamera was always fugly.
Not sure why they don't just use the design language of the Mission-E. It looks like a better version of the Rapide. |

Same here, I like how it flirts between a massive-wide mean looking sedan with some classic 1930s/40s lines. Hatch is added bonus. The only negative is how expensive it is with any options, add about 50% to the price for a decently optioned one.

Mission E language would be better. The new render looks like a marginal improvement to the original, but honestly, I'd still feel like I needed to put a paper bag over my head if I had to drive one.

They already do its called the 911. I love the Panamara but I completely understand why others don't. Personally I have always disliked the car, that was until I had it for a loaner for a week. The driving experience you get from it is unmatched in the sedan segment, it feels very 911 (minus ass end bias). The m5 is a great car but I would never say it felt anything other then a giant tank while driving it. For looks though it's hard to argue with some. From certain angles I think the car looks amazing from other angles it looks very awkward.

Agreed, this looks much better. The front of the Panamera is ok, but the side and rear look ridiculous IMO. That's what kills it.
