Any French Auto Techs here?

Since this is a very global forum, I thought I might ask here.

My wife and I are considering moving to France. My wife will be receiving her French passport soon, so we may take this opportunity to pack up and move.

She works in IT and is fluently bilingual so her job prospects are pretty good.

I am a dealer tech for Acura, and for Honda a couple years before that. I have had my Canadian Red Seal 310S licence (licence valid for all of Canada) for 11 years now. As an aside if any employers are reading this I was the top ranked apprentice technician in the entire country.

What is it like being a tech in France? Just trying to find info on how it works there. Maybe I should work for Citroen, I hear they break a lot.

How does the pay work, is it straight time, salary or like here in Ontario, flat rate pay? What are normal pay rates? Is my monster Snap On toolbox going to fit in a bay there?

In order to get the Vesap road legal in Europe, you'll need to remove any semblance of a muffler. Wide open exhaust seems to be the rule for scooters here on the continent.

I already have a loud assed Akraprovic exhaust installed! Guess I will fit in no problem. Probably not too many 300 cc scoots though.
