In order to avoid getting us in trouble, I would advise against beer.

Neil, you should note that the Silverstone F1 race is shown by Fox on a delayed basis at Noon on Sunday. Not having a 1M, I plan to go there via bicycle. And I would vote for a 8:30am start time.

Thanks woodym3. Those are all very good points. If I had the availability I would definitely have arrived early with a few friends and reserved a row of parking for everyone. If someone is motivated enough to do that, it would help ensure we all get to park next to each other. That would make the meet 100x better.

Yep, as I mentioned above, I checked and alcohol is not permitted on the GW Memorial Parkway parks (except near concession stands on Daingerfield Island and Columbia Island).

While under the K st bridge is a nice place, many have expressed desire to avoid meeting in the city.

In terms of rain, Weather.com indicates that there is a less than 10% chance of rain in DC from 8am to 1pm, but that jumps to a 30% chance of strong storms after 1pm.

I think we should stick to the same location, but should move the meet earlier so that we finish with enough time for everyone to get home before the afternoon rain.

Therefore I am moving the meet time to 9am-11am.

This will also let everyone meet in the morning when the temperatures are lower.

While this means I will likely not be able to attend the meet, hopefully it will make it a better event for everyone else.

I will try to PM everyone the update later tonight when I get access to a computer.

That would be cool. There are a couple of big BMW events coming up in the next few months - we could plan on meeting there? Bimmerfest is on Aug 25 and MPact is on Sep 15. Both are in Baltimore, only 20 minutes from my house
