Best Brake option for 125i E82

Hey guys,

I am looking to purchase some better looking brake callipers for my E82 125i, maybe some brembo or BMW performance ones, I don't know much about the topic but if someone could let me know the best options and the pricing for them that would be great!

Thanks

Ryan

I went with the BMW Performance kit , front and rear for my 128i E82, which is basically the same as your car. Price was a big factor as the quality aftermarket setups were much more expensive. The BMW setup is basically the 6 piston Brembos (as used on the 135i in Can. and the U.S ) on the front and single piston 328i rears ( only diff. here is piston size, 42mm vs 40mm , use stock rotors and pads ). These brakes are a significant upgrade and look great. They are designed for this car , so no issues.

I think I had a look at this, they look fabulous and are great quality, the only issue is most places are sold out of them, did you get them recently? If so could you please link the site? All good if you can't find it I really appreciate the help I will definitely take a look at these!

No, not recently. I've been upgrading the car for the last 10 yrs., a little every year. The rears aren't that big a deal as only the piston size changes. You could probably use 328i rear calipers with stock rotors, but check with a BMW specialist to be sure. For the fronts, stock 135i Brembos 6 piston should be available from multiple sources including BMW. Only difference is grey colour instead of yellow. They'll bolt right on to your 125i.

Second what was mentioned above. Not sure if you've heard of ML Performance but I reckon you trying them as their service has been pretty good, can get some recommendation and advice from their technical team too
