LACR was one of the last 1/4 mile strip near LA but it was shut down a couple years ago.
The only drag strip left that I know of, an go to, is the 1/8 mile strip at Irwindale speedway every thursday night its 20 bucks for as many runs as you can get in usually about 5 depending how the lines moves. You'll find everything out there from civics to fully built mustangs, M3's, S4's I even saw a 135i before I bought one. If you want to go maybe will can organize something with some other 1ers there's a couple other LA local guys on here. check it out http://www.toyotaspeedwayatirwindale...ragprices.html For autocross check out Williow springs I know the have open entry days that people on this board do attend and there are auto groups/clubs that you can probably tag along with.

Take a look at a few organizations such as: speedtrial usa, speedventures, redline track events, nasa, scca for local track days. The closest one would be Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, then Willow Springs and Buttonwillow a few hours away.

I highly recommend joining BMWCCA + your local chapter: http://www.bmwcca.org/ I signed up last year and went to 2 events so far. Most fun I've had in awhile. Great people, instructors, and just a lot of fun.

If you'd like to know where the local (and throughout the world) road courses are, I'd suggest Trackpedia.
