Quick question regarding Star specs
So i'm planning on getting some star spec soon, and I hear they are a little wider than normal.
I'm lowered on H&R sport springs with stock struts. And have the Breyton GTS-R's on. I was thinking of going 235/18/40 front and 255/35/18 rear. Would I rub at all? I'm running 225 front right now, and there's no rub whatsoever, just concerned to go up one size plus they are star specs. |

Try hitting up Randomquickness. He had these tires on his stock rims and also had H&R springs. He should be able to help ya out with this.

I've spoken to numerous people who say this works. I have 225/255 Star Specs & Breytons on my Dinan springs and it's the rears that have been the only to rub (very very slightly). I also have camber plates though, which will help with the fronts.

I am running 225 front 255 rear on the Z1's... it's a tight fit on the stock rims but I'm on stock suspension. I don't know about going 235 though.

You will rub with 235 up front. 225 is the safer bet.

One of the problems: The 235/40 is much taller than a xxx/35 and it makes things difficult to compare. (As well as tread width variations.)
If you want, I have a stock RE050A RFT 245/35-18 on one of the 8.5" APEX ET38 rims. If you want to try the fit, PM me with a phone number. NOTE: Star Spec does not come in a 245/35. This offer goes away real quick, since I'm going to 255/35 Star Spec as soon as I can get my data logger up, and a new camera battery. Dave (#223 at the auto-x)

Ditto. EAS's Black 1-Series did run some 235/40/18 Z1SS but it required some fender work on 8.5 +40 wheels. You may want to shoot them a PM for additional info.

what about the advan ad07s? Tirerack's got them on close out with some very attractive prices.
But only size for me would be 235/40/18 Front and 265/35/18 Rear http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....&AID=10398365& |
