For those of you leasing your 1 series...
what brand of tires are you choosing because BMW insists that our cars call for a RFT replacement & my rears are getting very very low being I have 18,600 miles on the original set of Bridgestones (M Sport). I have another 15 months & or 21,900 miles remaining on my current lease. Thanx

Do like me ! Keep your RFT with an acceptable threadwear in your garage and install the non-rft tires you want. Just put the RFT back on when the lease is up !

+1, you will go throught at least 1.5 more sets of tire before your lease is up. Go non-RTF, then switch back when you trade-in

So my best bet for tires would be Tirerack on line? I have gone this route many times & am out of the loop these days...thanx.
Here is the Tirerack link (which ones should I go with?) http://www.tirerack.com/tires/TireSe...=53950&tab=All

I just need an overall descent tire for everyday commuting to work, etc...& being I have another year or so left on my lease I may have to choose something like the Hancooks (especaily if you guys recommend them) & for $100 plus each it seems you can't go wrong...then I will have to obviously switch to an expensive RFT sometime next summer

Just make sure you plan to have RFTs with at least 4/32nds of tread on the car when it goes back to the dealer (unless you're buying it out). |
