2011 135i base stereo LOC install. NEED HELP NOW

So I started by following the instructions here

and when I got to the part where I was supposed to remove the amp cover and tap the wires I noticed that my amp doesnt seem to be where its supposed to.

HELP

Pic of where I dont have amp - driver side

Pic of what looks like an amp just below rear lights on the driver side. Can I tap this for the LOC and if so what colors do what

That is the location for the amp on the base stereo. I install mine using the same instructions posted by escobar929 with no problems. Good luck in your install

That looks like the HiFi amp in your LR tail light area. The amp that goes in the drivers rear quarter is the HK unit.

Thanks to this website and some help from you guys I managed to figure it all out. The hardest part really was just figuring out that the amp in my pic is indeed the right one. Then after that I tapped into it for my LOC and I was ready to go.
