Comparison betwen E30 convertible and E88
Hello fellas,
My first post. I tried a search for this topic and I colud not find any real comparison, nor side by side pictures that surely will say it all, for real comparing those two. I have two E30īs, needles to say that I love that car, one is a 1986 316 carburarted...and the other is a 1987 325i convertible; we have also a new E70, the family is growing, and odd as it seems a 1923 Ford Model T (Thatīs right!), I use the 325i daily and I am starting to think to leave it as a weekend driving machine, so itīs time to look for a suitable replacement, naturally I checked out the E93 but what can I say?, I am not a hard top man; for me it is not a 3 series, it is bigger, heavier, etcera, it is like wht they do with the thunderbird in the mid 60īs. So then the E88 arrived, I went to the dealer and checked it out but they could not tell me when I can test drive it (and park it alongside the E30), and I liked very much. In paper the E30 cabrio (like we call it in europe) is a little smaller in almos any aspect than the E88 but a picture is worth a thousend words! Any of you have a picture as I ask for? Best Regards, Mario PS. I am going for the red interior (Middle age crisis), but I have not decide yet for the exteriod, AW, Grey, Black or Red; the others E30 are AW and Red Burgundy, and the E70 is TSilver.:iono: |

Not a direct cabrio-to-cabrio comparison, but...

Thank you Patrick, but I have already saw it.
I am looking for an open top picture so you can compare it better. If I make the test drive soon, I will post the pictures myself. Mario

I had an 87 325i E30 Conv. for 8 years prior to getting my new 135.(Pics Below)
Very similiar sized cars. (I can tell by the way it fits in the garage.) Dont have a pic of them together,..sorry. Sold the 87 2 yrs ago.
