Used Turbos
Hey guys, bought a used set of oem turbos with real low miles, that appear to be in really good shape. Got them for a great price.
Does anyone know what these cost from bmw new? And does anyone have any suggestions on what i could do with these, instead of just having them as a backup. Is this legit? http://blogs.eurotuner.com/6523888/e...ion/index.html Thanks, Dave |

I had been reading the threads over on e90post a while back and it is still said that the upgraded turbos are still being tested and there are no specific tunes for them yet.

yea i spoke with the guy from gt pro and he said a tune would really optimize the upgrade but that you can run without a tune and still expect gains. i guess the upgrade really helps turbo efficiency more than anything.

On top of all that you have to worry about reliability. They have machined out an already small turbine housing and have not addressed the issue with our wastegate flapper wearing.
I don't think it is worth it really.
