Adaptive headlight warning symbol
So my Passenger side headlight had some moisture condensation and the other night i hit a pothole and the light went out right after that, along with the adaptive headlight warning symbol. So once i got home i inspected the bulb and found that it was cracked and needed to be replaced. i got the new bulb in yesterday and installed in and still nothing, the light doesnt work and im still getting the warning symbol. the angel eyes are still working so its not like the whole head light unit isnt working. do you guys have any suggestions?

Since you said there's moisture, I would check the ballast.

Almost positive it's your ballast and adapative control module that will need to be replaced. You can find the parts to do this yourself (if so inclined) for about 250 ish including 2 ballasts give or take. I would suggest getting ballasts off ebay, cheapest place Ive found for them, and then a new adapative module off ECS or Tischer BMW etc.

No prob man! If you're looking for the adaptive module on ECS/ the part number for the Adaptive Module, here ya go:
http://www.ecstuning.com/Search/63117180829/ES172035/ Like I said Ballasts can be found on ebay for cheaper than dealer/ECS price. Let me know if you need any help with the process. Also keep in mind if you do replace the adaptive module you will have to recode the module to the car! |
