I ordered my e90
I just ordered my 325 today after weeks of debating between the g35 and a4. i got a jet black 325 with xenons, navi and auto for 33310 which i think is a decent price, now the bad part is i have to wait until august to get it , i just have a few questions that i forgot to ask my salesman
1- how long do i have if i want to change something on the car, im think about ordering prem package, but cant decide if its worth it. 2 why is bmw charging 500 dollars for tint, is theyre tint some super tint specially designed for bimmers? 3 right now im rocking a 98 mazda 62, which is a fun car to drive and handles amazingly, but unfortantly it suffers from a really bumpy ride and body roll, i didnt get to drive the e90 that hard but was wondering if anyone here can tell me how smooth the car is on rough roads im sure non of u care that i ordered my car but i had to tell somebody since most of my friends dont care about cars ps i want to thank this site for helping me decide to get this car |

Congrats!! there's no special tint designed for bimmers. You're in NY so there's tons of tint shops I'm sure that can do the whole car for $200-$300... don't get ripped off by the dealer. I test drove two E90's (with sports suspension) and on purpose took it on rough roads it it absorbed everything just fine, it was firm, but not jarring.
Did you get to test drive either the G35 or A4? What made you decide on the E90 in the end? |

If you are concerned about the ride it is probably good that you didn't get the sport package. I took another test-drive today, comparing a 330 sport manual to a 325 auto with the base suspension. There was a section of freeway that I could feel every expansion joint, etc. on in the 330 sport. Up until this point I was certain I wanted the sport suspension but not so sure now. The ride on the 330 is good but it can also be overly communicative on some patches of road. This may be more true of the 330 sport than 325 because the 330 also has the low profile tires on 18" rims. Not a lot of cushion there. The 325 with the standard suspension definitely had a better ride and was still pretty damn fast in a tight corner I took on a clover leaf. The 330 sport did handle better but this will mostly show up when you push the car hard and at very fast road speeds (90mph +).

Arey Desi Baba! Good to see that there are Desi Bimmers out there!
Sports Package is rough, on roads with an abundance of pot holes, like here in Chicago, its really rough with the sports package, but on the highways and well paved roads its amazing. I'm used to it now that i've had my E90 for 5 days, and am very glad i got the Sports Package. Nathan

Desi Bimmer, if you have your production number, and estimated production date, you have about a week prior to your production date to make changes. After that, you can't change anything.

Congrats desi bimmer. Sport might be a little too firm for NYC roads. I'm coming from a japanese car too and the diff is noticeable. The BMW tends to 'hop' over larger bumps on interstates where the japanese cars tend to absorb them. On the flip side, the BMW has negligible roll compared to japanese cars.

Just remember that the more options you check off on a 325 (SP, HK stereo, xenons, premium) the closer you get to a base 330... Remember, 330 has 17's standard as well as powerseats and so on. Check the numbers closely because you may be better off with a 330 with Nav only...

As far as tint goes, I've heard rave reviews about this guy in NYC, hes from the Art of Tint and I think his name is Tom. Apparently he is one of the best tinters in the tri-state area and the only licensced tinter for some type of ceramic tint in the NY/NY area. Anyways I got a quote of 225 from him for a regular non metallic tint (Solar Gard) while the ceramic tint is close to 425. Both tints come with a life time warranty, so if its scratched or bubbles or anything, Tom will retint. His shops are in Manhattan and Brooklyn, I was wondering if other NYC E90 owners on the forum wanted to tint their windows so we could do a group buy.
