Thick black cable hanging down from the hood lock

Hi guys, my Bowdenzug got fixed and i can open the hood again. But what bothers me, that there is still a thick black cable hanging down from the hood lock. Anyone has that too? I didn\'t see that on photos.

Thanx guys

Sorry, i would have if i could. The cable is in the middle so it's nearly impossible to take a picture, cause of the angle. The kidney's block the sight.
I can't bend my lens.

Remove a kidney, then take a pic. Doesn't it take a minute or two. Otherwise, not sure what you're referring to.

That's correct, the upper is connected to the lock of the hood. Maybe a security issue.

The hood bowden cable is a two piece design. Sounds like your shop just flat-rated the repair and left the old cable in there. lol

The hood cable is #11 and #12.
