Tortugas on its way

Good news.

Entered my VIN into the following tracking site and it says my car is on the Tortugas and is on it's way to Australia.

The tortugas is scheduled to arrive in Melbourne on 14/08/08. Does anybody know how long I have to wait to get my car once the ship arrives.

Depending on your dealers urgency, about 7 to 10 working days..

I asked exactly the same question once I had my VIN. My car arrived here on the Tarifa on July 4th, and I'm picking it up this afternoon - 11 days later...

Seems most have been able to take delivery in under 2 weeks.

So DTNJNQ, you were a July build is that right? Cause mine was a July build but I have heard nothing from my dealer. That's great it's on the boat already.

Yes, mine was a July build. I only got my VIN yesterday. Initially the dealer told me he would not have the VIN until the car landed in Australia. With a bit of pushing by me, he looked up the system and was able to find the last 7 digits of the VIN. I was able to work out the whole VIN number by looking up a few websites.

The tortugas has arrived in Melbourne this morning. Was scheduled for 8:30am however arrive at 9:50am:thumbup:

Here's a picture of the Tortugas at the docks. Thei Tortogus is the red ship.

I'm located in the City, but not in a high enough building to have taken a pic like that :smile:

The photo was taken on my blackberry from the roof of 600 Bourke Street which is about 52 floors. It's one of the buildings we own and manage.

Also having them fit the CF spoiler (thrown in) so that'll add 24 hours.

But my mum kindly bought over a 1:18 black 135 coupe for my birthday yesterday. Pretty impressed with the level of detail in the scale model, even got idrive!

I also bought mine from Bib Stillwell. That must mean mine has also arrived at the dealer. Tried to ring my sales assistant however he is on a drive day today. bugger.
