Usually you work that out through the dealer. The regional service reps visit the dealers in their area on a regular basis and you will have to setup an appointment with them to discuss your situation. That has been my experience dealing with them even when I drove VWs. Sometimes they are a big help and side with you.
Good luck! |

Good to hear, these things are so finicky. I know you love your car, but you really have to start thinking about the costs to repair turbos, injectors etc on these cars.
I think there is a small window where you will be able to recoup a decent amount for a 2008 with high mileage. And that window is pretty much now. With the mileage you do, you will have 100k on the clock in no time. At that point our cars will be worth next to nothing. |

The injectors really snuck up on me. They were fine one day and dead the next, im taking it as a lession. These cars need a lot of preventative maintenance.

Matt,
I cant believe that they didnt cover the parts at least...( unless that was the small refund) id say that you are in a situiation of diminishing returns... When you get back i say trade her in and move on to a newer one, maybe with CPO coverage etc etc if you cant swing 'new". regards,

I know you don't want to hear it but I was at the dealer the other day having my winter tires swapped out for summer tires.
A woman was there, she was out $1k due to a leaking transmission...she was no joke 100 miles out of warrantee. $1k for 4 electrical seals....I couldn't freaking believe it! I don't think she will be buying another BMW any time soon. Sadly the manufacturers need to realize that in this day and age two things rule, unless you are a trust fund baby or are leasing. 1) PEOPLE TALK! And they talk more when they are pissed than when they are happy! 2) People have a choice. |
