group buy interest

Guys I'm trying to gauge interest on a group buy for some new wheels. The specs are as follows:

19x8.5 +45 square setup

http://www.flickr.com/photos/80903620@N07/7415863810/

I know I can't get them in 18's so it's 19's or nothing.. I'll have to double check on a staggered setup but the offset will be even more aggressive. We'll probably need a minimum of 10 buyers to make it happen! So let me know if anyone is interested.

Sorry I can't figure out how to show the pictures directly from Flickr

Cheers

Are those supposed to be FI knockoffs?

I was told the cost would be around $150 - 160 per wheel with a minimum of 40 pieces. So 40 wheels total not 40 sets of wheels (hence the square setup would require less ppl to commit).

I guess they are FI knockoffs..

I'd be interested, but I'd prefer 18" and a non square setup.

Not sure that setup will work too well. I recently bought 18x8 +45 and am having a hell of a time fitting decent width tires. So even wider with the same offset would be a huge no-no for me.

well i've seen a few guys here running 19x9.5 vmr's and getting them to work so i'd assume that 18x8.5 would make it that much easier to fit. According to VMR the 713's should fit no problem with a 19x8.5 +45 as long as the car is not slammed. I plan on doing bmw performance springs so the drop isn't crazy.. VMR wanna chime in on this? Cause your 713's would be an option for me they are a similar looking rim.. I do wish they offered it in 18's cause i'm undecided weather 19's are just too big for our cars (appearance wise) although all the setup 1M's in germany and japan seem to be putting 19's and i do love the way they look..

Oh, the wheels will fit. The problem is the tires. haha.
You'd have to stretch on some 215s up front... maybe 225s with some tweaking. Probably no wider than 235s on the rear.

Put it this way, with 235s on the rear of mine with the 18x8 +45, I was rubbing. Have to roll the rear and dial in negative camber. 235s will not fit on the front of mine without camber plates. So I'll wind up 225/235 front/rear .... much narrower than I planned.

stock.

Oh, ya know, I even listed the wrong offset for my wheels. They are +40! So a +45 would be even worse!

+45's would be a better fit than +40 isn't the stock around +50?

bah. yeah, sorry, I always get that backwards.

Still, though, +40 on an 8" is not as bad as +45 on an 8.5" .... i think.

An 8" wheel is 203.2 mm wide. So a +40 would put the mounting service at 61.6 mm from the outer wheel face. Meaning 61.6 mm is sticking out from the hub.

And 8.5" at +45 means 62.95 mm is sticking out from the hub. Is that right?
