There are a few types of Nokian winter tires...for you, perhaps, the Nokian WRG3 would be better (dry, cold conditions for the most part). These are totally different as compared to the more traditional snow/ice idea of winter tires, which would be covered off by either the non-studded Nokian Hakkapeliitta R2 or the studded Hakkapeliitta 8.

Never been on a Nokian that I didn't feel was too floppy for my driving style. Their snow potential is excellent, but largely irrelevant in PA.

I keep the sport winters(PA3) on the 1er and dedicated snows (X-Ice Xi3) on the fiance's 330i ZHP. Neither has come even remotely close to being stuck, but the 330i is definitely the easier option in snow with its more focused tires.

Hi,
now please let me go the opposite direction: how good are WRG3 in summer ?
Are they good enough to go through the hot summer season north of New York and I can use them all year round, or should I switch to a summer tire ?
I'm just a normal driver who enjoy safely driving his 128i convertible.
