Nice another new century car. Did you get the spoiler from NC too?

painting over cf seems like an odd thing to do but it looks neat on your car nonetheless. congratulations.

Nah, I ordered my spoiler and grill from Dan. Both came very quickly.

I'll be getting some better pics this weekend. I'm going to meet up some friends and possibly do a photoshoot. As far as debadging, I'm still debating if I should or not. I did with my old wrx and that looked great but the "135i" is pretty small. I think I'll be leaving it for now.

Not really, it's fairly common. People who want the weight savings of CF and don't want the look. Granted, on this particular application there's no weight reduction.

I love the look of the spoiler, but I'm not a fan of raw CF (for the most part) so I'll be painting mine as well.

You should have them do the diffuser too.

Yeah I am agreeing with Skippy on this. Its not uncommon at all. I, too, am not a fan of a lot of raw CF. If I could get the splitters, those would stay unpainted.

I had a friend help me install the spoiler. Used the extremely messy betagoop thing. You definately should wear some type of gloves as washing it off your hands after is near impossible.

Glad you guys like it:smile:

I'm thinking of purchasing the CF Spoiler too and having it painted AW... Painting isn't a concern, but having it install is...

Agree with most and mentioned it on other threads too, that CF spoiler painted/colour coded especially in AW looks heaps better and so much more stylish and elegant than leaving it in plain finish...

That CF look is so yesterday and so Jap hi-po car rice looking IMHO - just my 2 cents, no offence to all the people that prefer the exposed CF look

I agree that the Performance spoiler looks much better painted, especially with my color combo jet black over savannah. I to will paint mine, Did you have a body shop do it? Or did you do it. If you did it did you do a DIY? Let me know because I too would like to paint the Performance spoiler. Thanks,

I had a local bodyshop paint the spoiler for me. I believe Dan@United now sells the cf spoiler with an option of having it prepainted.

But again, if you're going down this route it's probably more economical to buy a FRP knockoff and paint it yourself.
