No idea in labor, but the cost of getting a LSD is probably the single most expensive production upgrade for our cars T_T

I paid 3200 parts and labor for a quaife installed. Very nice upgrade.

Go for the wavetrac option. I have zero complaints with it, performs fantastic on the track and street. Car is super stable and controllable at the limit, launches beautifully and adds a whole new level of confidence plus it costs less than the other options out there which is a huge bonus.

All the LSD options have a core exchange where you buy the complete diff with the LSD installed, you remove yours and then send it into them and they use that for another customer by installing a LSD unit into that one. After they receive your core they refund you for it. I was lucky enough to have the wavetrac installed by the previous owner, it does not mess with the traction control or e-diff because it tends to come into effect before the e-diff does so it won't even come on. I just drive my 135 with DSC off all the time. I came from a turbo honda s2000 which had zero electronic nannies besides ABS. High quality tires like Dunlop zII will make the car a different animal and give tons of confidence. I'd suggest this as a first mod to any 135 owner. |

LSD is the single greatest mod you can do to this car, I'd argue it's needed for any type of spirited driving. If you are doing the entire suspension overhaul, LSD should be at the top of the list imo, this car just isn't as controllable or as fun to drive without it.

On a lift, swapping a pumpkin should take an hour max. Last edited by Stohlen; 07-20-2013 at 10:31 AM.. |

He was asking about different between manual and 7-speed, i.e the DCT, which has the same welded ring gear and large pumpkin unit as the 6MT, just with a higher ratio gearing.
