Just installed 225/40/18 and 255/35/18 Hankook r-s3's on stock 7.5/8.5 wheels. Fronts rub pretty decent at full lock. Only suspension mod is h&r sport springs.

Suggestions?

3 mill spacer then camber plates to get the top of the tire away from the finder since it being spaced out. The rs3 tires run big. There 225 is like most tires 235.

Wouldn't the spacer push the tire closer to the fender though?

Maybe just the camber plates/m3 control arms?

It's probably rubbing on the inside, not the outside or the top. 3 mil spacer should do it. I had the same issue with my RE-11's at 235 in the front. The spacer and camber did the trick. Since yours are only 225 the spacer might fix it altogether. Velocity Motorcars sells 3mm and 5mm spacers for a reasonable price and they include new longer lugs for free.

For the love of God... Find out where you are rubbing first. No reason to just throw spacers and camber plates at your car if you don't actually know what's going on. You should be able to see slight rubbing marks on both the tire and on the fender liner if you are rubbing on that.

+1 yeah forgot to mention that, hah. If you can put the car on a lift you should be able to see where it's rubbing without removing anything. I'll try and snap a picture this afternoon of where it's most likely hitting.

If you are rubbing at full lock on the inside of your fender liner (on the oil cooler vent) a spacer alone will not solve it. the spacer will make your wheel sit further toward the outside edge of the fender and it will actually rub more.

If you are rubbing at full lock on the outside edge of your fender liner then your offsets are too aggressive and you will need either shorter/less wide tires or wheels with less aggressive offsets.

check to see where you are rubbing first and then report back. i'm assuming you're on stock wheels?

Will the 225/40/18's and 245/35/18's rub on a Stock 135I? According to Tire Rack they are wider than the R11's.
