Rear Ended = Upgrades =)
Recently rear ended. Quick story: dog runs out into street. I brake. Guy behind me didn't. Result: Dog is ok. My car is not. Have not taken it to the shop yet so don't know internal damage. But visually inspecting the car, I need at a minimum a new trunk, rear bumper and rear diffuser. Since the other party is 100% at fault, I'm going to take this opportunity for some upgrades. Here is what I'm thinking. - 1M style front bumper (ebay) $500 - CSL style trunk (ebay) $500 any other trunk options? - Carbon Fiber Rear Diffuser (ebay) $350 - OEM bumper? Any rear bumper options out there that compliments the 1M style front bumper without going w/ quad exhaust setup? What do you guys think? Also, I'm planning on a matte Wrap. Haven't figured out the colors yet. How much do you guys think the wrap will run? Thinking either matte yellow or Matte Blue |

I personally don't like "hey look at me colors" but between the 2 above I actually like the yellow.

Matte Dakar yellow would be boss. I'd go OEM bumper, CSL trunk, quad diffuser, and quad exhaust.

I think Satin finish would be where it's at actually. Matte a lot of times comes out looking like Primer IMO.
But if you insist, go yellow.

what is the longevity of a wrap? I'm thinking of getting an e30 as a project car and most of the ones at reasonable prices have paint that is shot. I'm thinking a wrap would be fun, but don't want to have to do it every year...

Wow, that's expensive. A wrap only costs $700 here and everything else seems to be twice the price

OK. So I think I've decided. I'm not going to do the wrap after all. I still really love the graphite metallic. I really love the darker stealthy look of my car without actually going black on black. I mean, I fell in love with that color when I bought the car, so I 'm going to keep it that way. As for parts, I'm going with
- Schmiedmann CSL Trunk (body color match, no bmw or 135i badge) - ebay CF diffuser (i'm leaning towards 2fin) - Rieger Front bumper (hopefully it matches stock side skirt or maybe I'll add side skirts later if it doesn't look good) |

But why get parts from ebay when you can support forum vendors

+1 We have amazing vendors, I'd shoot them each a message and see what they can do for you. Everytime I have I've always been pleasantly surprised by what they can do for me!
