Matte black vs Carbon fiber

I am trying to figure out if I want to do matte black or continue with more carbon fiber. What is everyone's opinions for alpine white. Cannot find amazing pictures of a good comparison so if you have any let me know.

Do what in matte black exactly? what CF do you have that you are thinking about more of? When you create a post like this, don't you think it might be helpful if you explain what you have done already and what are you planning to do in the future?

PS, you should have a 3rd option of "do nothing", just because you can change something doesn't mean you should. Maybe things are perfect as they are.

Right lets see if we are going to go with the under tone maybe you should read the poll which clearly states I talking about kidney grills. Secondly all I care about is if people think you need to be consistent on the outside of the vehicle so what I've changed in my opinion is irrelevant to my original poll. Third why exactly is it so difficult to not be a jackass on a thread? If you don't like what I posted don't respond, if you think I'm an idiot don't respond no need to be rude. Lastly, again, I listed the options I wanted and the option of "BMWs are perfect" was never going to be one of them.

So lets try this again. Black matte or carbon fiber kidney grills on alpine white.

Personally I prefer Gloss Black... It matches the Shadowline Trim around the windows etc..

I know you didn't list it as an option in your poll but there you go...

The car comes with shadow line window trim, which is gloss black. The outsides of your mirror triangle is also gloss black.

My personal rule with my 1er:
-All outside black gloss black to match shadow line
- All Carbon fiber parts be of the same weave and finish.

I don't think you can go wrong with the carbon fiber. Especially on Alpine white

grilles
diffuser
front lip
roof spoiler
Brake calipers

I ended up with gloss black because that is what BMW sells. It matches the mirrors and I bought the gloss black emblems. Besides, I am a chrome HATER! My 2 cents worth and I am not being rude. Ha ha

Interesting reading everyone's thoughts. Much appreciated. I am thinking I might go with the carbon to match my new diffuser and potentially the mirrors (if and when I change them out) but I definitely appreciate the constructive responses.

I totally agree with being a chrome hater now. I am debadging my car as well because of that.

Not a fan of bare carbon fiber unless it is actually on the car for performance reasons. I would say go with gloss black as it matches the rest of the black on our cars, BUT most people have gloss. Going matte and wrapping the gloss in matte wouldn't be a bad direction although a PITA for sure.

He mentioned the options but anyways I went with the matte this weekend and can't be happier. Thanks everyone for the thoughts and opinions.

I prefer matte black not to big in to CF, but heres a few pics of my car with Matte Mirror's, door handles, grill and splitters (fake).

Its all good, we both were wrong. I probably could have handled it better and definitely could have posted more details.

Where's the option for Gloss Black aka Shadow Line?

It's the only option IMO.
