Smile Installation of Active Autowerke Sport Intercooler on a 2011 1M

Here are some pictures of a recent install of our Active Autowerke Sport Intercooler on a 2012 1M.

Beginning of the Tear Down...



Out with the Old (Stock Intercooler).....



New Sport Intercooler Installed



Wolf in Sheep Clothing



The Owner was very happy with the Performance of the Sport Intercooler and Install

thanks for reminding me I need to install this still HAHA. product build quality is great. When I ever get it in I can comment on performance.

Active has top quality products. I've modded both my E36 M3s with them back when I lived in Miami.

I even bought one of their shop cars (supercharged E36 M3s) back in 2003. That wa s when the E46 M3 had come out and I was putting up a fight with my old schoold E36.

The Image below shows the trim that was removed next the to the Intercooler. The Black Plastic Trim is the only part that needs to be trimmed to allow for proper fitment of the intercooler.

what kinda gain am i looking at with the intercooler and downpipe?

also have AA exhaust and afe intake thinking of doing your guys tuning.
