winnipeg

Well, I have one. I've only seen one other 135 (black) in Winnipeg thus far. Mine is white with only sunroof, M pack, and backup sensors as options. Bought it from a guy from Grande Prairie Alberta about a year ago.

Nice to see someone also on this board, you should check out winnipegheights if you havent yet.
Mine is alpine white with Msport package so probably looks just like urs without the sunroof.
I might have seen the same black one. I remember it having tint and an "M" emblem on the trunk.
The only other one ive seen within the last year is a 135i convertible with red leather, cant remember colour but had a woman driving.

It is really nice that our cars are pretty rare in the city, even 128i i have only seen a few.

I am in the process of buying one... started it two weeks ago now.

It's a 2008 135i with 30k on it. Black with red interior, sun roof, comfort access, power seats with lumbar and what not. The day it was supposed to get saftied so I could pick it up the back taillights stopped working and now I have to wait what seems like forever. Apparently it can take 6+ weeks for them to come in!!!

are you buying from birchwood big foot??? if you are, which salesman are you dealing with??? thats pretty good milage for a 08. We need more 135i in winnipeg.

I wanted the coral red so bad, but cheaped out.

Dont be in too much of a rush, you need dry roads to truly enjoy this car

I'm buying it from waverley Mitsubishi, it's a bc car. I had BMW do the pre purchase inspection on it though, and it's sitting there now waiting for the lights lol.

I'm fine with not many people having one and it being rare, although a larger community would be nice. Do any of you guys have anything done on your cars? I've been looking at mods for next year, I'd lime to get jb3, tint, and exhaust to start. Not going to do too much visually probably because I like the sleeper look.

Yeah I was really happy with the milage and condition of the car. I would have loved a white one but black with red interior is pretty sharp to.

Haha if I had gotten it two weeks ago I would have had dry roads. I already have winter tires and rims on order for it though so I can drive it even if it is only ready in 6 weeks.

My car is a BC car too.

That was a hugh factor for me why I choose the 135 over the 335 and the 370z, wrx, etc. There are very few 1ers in town. I would totally be down for meeting up next year . All I have done is a debadge of the 135i emblem and I have winter tires and rims, rest is stock. Gonna probably get some star spec tires in spring.

Let me know if you are going ahead and getting a JB3. I would really want to help/observe, haha. I am thinking about getting it too but I have the n55 engine so it will be slightly different.

I was looking at those cars to, I was sold on the sti for a long time. I out grew it though, wanted something I wouldn't b embarrassed to have my boss in. Also with their drop in price everyone seems to have one now.

Yeah I'd b down for a meet. I think they usually set up a euro meet on heights we could go to.

I think I'll b debadging to, see how the paint fade is and decide if I want to get the black emblems.

I'll let you know if I pick jb3 up, I always like some help when installing stuff. I had kpro for my RSX before and turned everything myself so I figure this will b a walk in the park... And a third of the cost... And 3 times the gains!

Yeah I've been on heights lurking for a while.

I had a cf trunk on my RSX, I strongly recommend against them and cf hoods. Although the RSX being a hatchback may have caused a lot of the trunk problems. Still wouldn't buy either again!

Civics are nice. My brother has an si, I got rid of my RSX shortly after he got it, couldn't have the slower car... Excited to be the quicker one again!

Car is ok in the snow. I have a set of winter tires on there. The traction control slows down acceleration a lot but you dont have to concentrate as much. I take off traction control in deep snow and going up my driveway and it does fine, but there is no computer to save you if you go sideways.

Whats the expected date you get ur car bigfoot??

Any kitty litter in the trunk or anything? What tires do you have?

No date yet. The lights are still on back order. I've started looking around at other 1's but can't find any comparable... yet. So I just have to wait till whenever bmw decides to ship the lights.

I notice with a full tank of gas it sticks better. Some body on the forum was saying that extra weight in the trunk may throw off the balance of the car. I bought a set of used dunlop m3 tires, they are decent.

I saw a used modded on on the net a while ago for a really good deal,i think it was in calgary, ill try to find the link for you.

Hi I recently ordered a 2011 msport premium package dct. Arrival date march 20th or
there about. I have owned BMWs for past 15 years this car in my view is a combo
of three of my favourite past cars 318ti 330i and 67 mustang.

Nice! what colour?

Make sure to tell the dealer to not drill front license plate for you if possible. I got my car from bc and they said it was drilled already . So now i have 4 ugly holes in the front that i will plug up come spring time. There are some companies that make a front tow hook plate. I think rho-plate makes one for our cars.

thks for the reply. I noticed the thread on this site of front plates and have the
address of two tow hook suppliers.

I attempted to order the car in jet black but m-sport will only allow non metallic alpine white. I don't like white so we requested them to special paint. I just got
a reply from sa saying they would do it but it would cost 3500 to 5000 +admin ha ha. Needless to say I will be getting black sapphire metallic and pay 800 extra which is the equivalent of two run flats.

youtube video mb plates

Has anyone seen the video on youtube by a 135i owner with mb plate? He has a black coupe 2011 purchased in spring of 2010. This car has dct and he has a couple of videos showing launch control. Also does anyone know what Birchwood Bmw charges for off warranty filter and oil change?
