Grind Gear Empathy Thread
Tell me I'm not the only one who's ever done this. WOT and 1-2 shift had a bit of grind due to my momentary lapse of coordination. Feel like a dumbass and rightfully so.

Just got a new clutch 2 months ago and swore that I would be careful not to do this. It happens once in a while. i've been driving manual transmission cars for 30 years and even I do it on occasion. Yup, I feel like dumb ass when it happens.,..

It happens. Fortunately, the gear boxes in these cars are quite stout. They don't like to be rushed, but will otherwise handle the abuse with applaud.

Yup, back at 38k. I have leftover fluid, so this incident makes me want to change it again but that seems excessive lol

I've noticed that the way the gearbox grinds in this car is different from how all my past cars ground gears. Almost like it's superficial if you know what I mean.
I die a little inside each time it happens.

CDV delete + clutch stop will help a lot
If you wanna spend more, the Mason Engineering pedal did wonders on my Z4 PS first to second on all BMW's suck, you just have to rev more and shift a tiny bit slower. |

Granny shifting... not double clutching like you should... you're lucky that hundred shot of nos didn't blow the welds on the intake manifold.
