N55 Dyno before and after
Hello all,
I recently got installed -JB4 -BMS Catless downpipes -custom downpipe back exhaust -ER FMIC -ER Chargepipe Got a before and after dyno done and thought I'd post them if anyone was interested or had any comments. Petrol is P100 (100 ron 10% ethanol) and JB4 was on map5. I know the final number is low compared to a dynojet but the deltas seems pretty good to me. The before lines are in yellow and a bit hard to see on the scans HP and Torque HP and AFR HP and boost (no boost measurement on the baseline) |

They didn't hook up the boost sensor on the baseline run as the chargepipe wasn't installed. That's why the line is at 0.
Stock boost is 10psi Map 5 will do 11-16 psi depending on octane, temperature, knock etc. It seems to spike to 16-17 then hold 15psi through the mid range then taper off. |

Apparently, it just can't hold it into higher rpms.
You can see if taper from 15 psi back to 10 at redline. Car feels very strong in the mid range. I'll try to get to the drag strip tomorrow and see what it runs. |

Me neither especially since I am on stock runflats. I primarily focus on trap speeds as that tells you if the car is making the power it claims. 104mph is a good trap speed for a stock car though!

That being said I have switched to Conti DW for this year & will pull the RFT off the 135is after break-in & add the JB4.

Better to have relatively accurate and realistic figures than inflated Dynojet figures though
Your stock baseline figures arn't too far away from my N55 DCT stock baseline figures on a Dyno Dynamics last year. Mine ran 253 rwhp. I reckon your 300 rwhp is about 355hp at the flywheel.

Certain United stations. I know Mount Lawley and Osborne Park definitely have it.

230 HP at rear wheels when you know you have 305 HP at flywheel then applying that ratio, your 300 HP at rear wheels equates to 400 HP at flywheel. |

But, you can only go on what your measured before and after rwhp figures are. General rule of thumb for calculating an 'approximate' flywheel figure from a measured rwhp for a rwd car would be:- Add 10hp to the measured rwhp figure and then divide by 0.88 This allows for most variations in transmission losses and all other variables. Only true way to measure flywheel figures is pull the motor and whack it on a engine dyno though. But the above calculation is close enough to get a ball park figure.

Went to the strip last night.
I still can't get the launch right with the DCT, it's either roll it off the line or sit there spinning. 60 foots ranged from 2.1 to 3.08 when I tried launch control. So stock I did 13.593 @ 104.65 last night I did 12.729 @ 110.97 Not too fussed about the time but does that MPH seems about right? Full timeslips below, Stock Modified |

Trap speed seems about right to me for that kind of power. I got a 118mph with 300kW (~400hp) atrw in a 6MT.
