Caffine and octane - Dunwoody ga

Whos goin this sunday?

Never been? Usually between 400-1000 cars depending on weather. All marques including the high end exotics! My favorites would be the mint early 70's BMW 2002's and Porsche spyders!

A quick google of "caffine and octane" will give you the details and show the magnitude of this show. Im usually the only 135 amongst a sea of m3, m5' and all classic bmw models 70's through 90's.

Anyway usually atleast 20-30 bmws at a minimum and this sunday should be packed given the weathr.

Sunday morning lots start filling around 8 so get on it early.

Gonna do some running around after the show with a few minis and bmws and grab lunch at a good friend of mines pizza joint 2 exits up from the show off exit 11. Hes a car nut as well and makes the meanest pizza, calazone, or stromboli around. I personally wash it down with a stone IPA but to each his own!

Hey guys, wanted to see if anyone will be going to the caffeine and octane on Sept 1. Or is it not scheduled for Sept 1, I haven't seen it confirmed yet?

Have no idea since thats a holiday weekend. If it is the first I will likely not be going since I have family in form out of town but I may need to get out of the house and scream a little bit so who knows!!!

If its the next sunday I will be there for sure. I never miss it, and usually do a mountain run afterwards. We should get few ones together and I will show you guys some excellent runs in north ga!

I'll try and find out if it will be that weekend or not. I live down in Dothan, AL and there is one 128 here, and hardly any other BMWs. There are some people on n54tech that said they usually go to it also. Keep me posted on whether you can make it, I'm trying to get a couple people together to meet before and park together at the meet if possible.

Please do try and confirm the date. Its always first Sunday but no telling with a holiday weekend. If another 1 will be around I can make it happen (can only take so much of the inlaws!) and would be great because occasionally I see another 135 but its never parked with the rest of the BMW which is usually at least 30 on a slow day.

I meet at the crackerbarrell next to the site with other BMW's and a huge MINI crew about 6-7 AM and then head over to park together.

We need some more 1's at these shows!

I just checked their Facebook page and they commented on someone's post on their wall saying it will be happening Sunday, September 1st. I just sent them a message to confirm. I will definitely be up there for the meet on Sunday and of course bringing my 1. How many other BMWs are usually in the group you go with? I'll see if I can get some of the people from n54 to meet with us also.

if you do come out just meet us at the cracker barrel. Ill be there sometime between 6 and 630 with 4 or 5 other bmws. How're you liking the 1 compared to the z?

Zatlanta meets at the hhgreg parking lot at 6 am as well I might make a pass by cbarrel but the change was hard the design of the z and the handling was awesome.. I really enjoy the 135i and it looks good no doubt but.. Problems like my window just falling down into the door this past weekend is just bull.. Charge pipe on a stock car just busting and the dealer telling me it was normal just didn't make me happy either but. I'm dealing with it. When I'm problem free I'm happy with my sleeper car. I've done some stuff to it and I impressed a bunch of people with my dyno run(for a pretty much stock car) at an event this past weekend but this week I have to buy my new window regulator so I can install and drive Sunday.. Overall satisfied with the performance of the car but all failing parts is a turn off.. Fixable but I have no warranty just bought the car 2 months ago aswell

You know what they say 2's company, 3 (1's in this case) is a party!!

Will be at cracker barrel about 6:15-6:30.

I think the regular BMW group is mostly the "atlanta bimmers, or the Atown M club" and then several folks who are just CCA member BMW enthusiast. There is always a ton of 335, M3's M5's of all years and some beautiful 635's and 3.0 CSL classic BMWs.

Looking forward to it fellas. Ill be the titanium silver coupe!

Since you will be coming north on 400 take exit 11 (windward pkwy) and take a left from the off-ramp back under GA 400. The next light, take a right into the retail center drive and the Cracker Barrel is an out parcel back to your right.

There are a few speed bumps but they have not been an issue for me on Eibachs but if your really dropped you may want to run around the parking lot to avoid them.

Hang there until we start hearing the lambos and vettes coming up windward and its time to hop over to the show parking lot!

Also I'm pretty sure Ive seen dogs at C&O before and its not really that formal, just a $hit ton of cars and car people!

There are a couple people on n54tech that say they go. I will pm them and see if I can get them to meet up with us. Also, there is someone with a 535 that said he goes and may meet up with us. I'll see you guys on Saturday bright and early.
