Dropped an object under the oil housing

Hello everyone,

I'm sorry if this thread is off topic, but I was hoping someone could give me an advice.

Today I was replacing my air filter and used a key to unlock the clips. That was a very stupid idea, I dropped the key and now I cant even see it.

I bought a pick up tool from the home depot but it didnt really help... Is the only way to get there is to remove the air filter? Or should I remove the air filter housing?

Thank you.

Probably fell down to the undertray. Get under the car and tap the undertray to see if you hear the key bouncing around.

Thanks for the reply! I don't have the undertray on my car.. The key is not on the ground, it just stuck somewhere inside.

I did this twice while removing the air box to change my OFHG. The box is only held down with two rubber plugs. Just yank up on it and lean it to the side as it has wires clipped onto it on the backside.

Then you should be able to find it a lot easier.
