- RWD - Adjustable suspension - Non runflat Bridgestone's - Lighter wheels - Alcantara seats and wheel - Carbon rear diffuser - Sunroof delete - 3000 lbs. (more aluminum, frame?)

yup. the only point you can try and make is that there is no way it will be an E82.. although i believe there is a slight chance.

An M1 targeted to appear at the time of the next face lift makes more sense to me.
In light of non-spectacular front end styling and relatively poor aerodynamics, expect a face lift for all the 1-series models within less than three years. That will also provide sufficient time to work on a truly spectacular, lightweight M1.
For what it's worth, the current 135i already has M-like performance potential. For instance, the published 0-100 km/h acceleration time of 5.3 seconds is exactly the same for the new M3 Cabrio as it is for the 135i. |
