(PS: I'm not a fan of the shiny dash so I just squirted some into the seam between the dash and the A-Pillar trim and around where the dash meets the vent housing and cleaned off the remaining residue.)
I'm going to try this, there is something on my passenger side dash that is driving my nuts!

Well it's spring time kids...and you know what that means! A winter of cold dry air has dried out your dash. Don't forget to add a dash of Black Magic tire cleaner to all the little joints in your dash.
Not only will the car smell new again but no more odd sounds!

I had the same problem. It's cause one of the A-Pillars is making contact with ur dashboard. Best fix for this is removing the a pillar and filling it up with foam, once replaced the sound should disappear. Nothing serious so don't worry too much.

I've also seen guys filling that space between the a-pillar and the dash with felt and even zip ties but the best thing to do is take it to the dealer.

I tried foam. Didn't work. Tyre Shine worked perfectly.

I'm sorry to resurrect this ancient thread, but is SIB 514510 for the squeaky dash a recall? Will the dealer perform this for free if the vehicle is out of warranty period? If not, around how much can I expect to pay? I also have the squeaky passenger side dash problem.

Also if I were to attempt to solve this issue on my own, how would I got about lubricating the dash?

Tire cleaner or the tire wet product?

Honestly I'd be very careful using tire wet, which is what I believe was the recommended product (original link is now dead).

Tire wet per the SDS contains 60-100% petroleum distillates, and 7-13% poly dimethylsiloxane (silicone oil).

You know the old story that Armor All cracks dashes? Well, that's the petroleum distillates.

I'm thinking folks want the silicone without the petroleum.

Dielectric grease is a source of high viscosity silicone oil.

If liquid is a necessity, dot 5 brake fluid is 99.x% silicone oil.

Super lube silicone oil, available on Amazon, is 100%
