I know quite a few people on the G35 forums have the HP wheels...they aren't as light as Volks, DPE's, BBS, etc....

But for the money they seem to be good, no one has complained of quality problems.

Ohh yea, and the Razr's are some SICKKK wheels, really like those.

I had some HP Racing wheels on my old Passat-18s,and they bent(over)quicker than a crack whore looking for a fix but then again-it was on my daily driver and I live in NYC-the roads suck!!
I paid a good price for them on Ebay-but like 1sic said-"you get what you pay for"

Do you think some forged rims would not have bent over that same pot hole?

good point there, erick's friend actually bent a HRE rim coz he hit a pothole..but forged rims are much stronger and lighter than normal rims so it'll last longer
get good tires if u dont wanna spend too much on rims..coz tires protect and save ur rims
good luck

i think if you drive properly and on decent roads shouldnt have much prob with most wheels anyways but i was planning on going with good tires. its so hard to find chrome lip with black unless spending 3000 or more for just rims

I have HP Lightings on my e90 for 8 months now and so far I'm impressed at how well it's holding up. There was an incident when I ran over a good size pot hole with the rear tire. I imediately pulled over and inspected the wheel. Other than some minor abrasions and a small gouge on the rim of the wheel it was not bent. About 4 blocks near home the low pressure light lit, because I was near home I continued to drive until i arrive to my destination. To my surprise the tire was almost completely flat and I was pretty much rolling on the rim. There were huge scratches along the circumfrence of the wheel but no dents! The following day I had the tire replaced and the wheel inspected at a local wheel/tire shop, and the tech told me that other than the scratches the wheel is still in good shape.

If I had the money to burn I would love to have 3 piece forged wheels! But spending nearly 4 thousand dollars on wheels is way over my budget.

Get the HP's, you'll be fine. And also post up some pics once you get them on!

i might actually be going with the lightnings instead of the razr's. What you think? i like the razr's to but m not sure if the front tires would look good with those wheels.. kind of iffy on them,. but the lightning ones are above.. let me know wat you think

Get the Razr's man...be original...the Lightnings are nice but they have been done over and over, that style of mesh has been around for a while.

The Razr is a hot, new, original wheel...trust me you won't regret it.

I like the lightning and splits a lot! I almost went with those because I have a black 330, but i went with CSL reps. I live in chicago and have hit so many friggin pot holes, but not a scratch or dent yet! knock on wood...
